Centre for Initiatives on Food Security and Environment (CIFSE) is a small holder farmer based nonprofit organization founded in September, 2019 and operates within the Savannah agro ecological zone (Northern Region, North East Region, Upper West Region, Upper East Region, Bono East Region and Oti Region
What we do
Collaborate and partner with likeminded people and organizations to alleviate poverty and improve small holder farmer livelihoods in deprived communities in the northern part of Ghana through Food and Nutrition Security, Protection of the Environment, Advocacy and Gender

Our Team
Mohammed Adam Nashiru
Team Leader
Teacher
He holds B.Sc. in Agriculture from the Cotton University in Burkina Faso and a Teacher by Training profession from the Bagabaga Teacher Training College in Ghana. He has traveled extensively to advocate for better policies for smallholder farmers around the world. As a farmer, he has worn a number of wards from both local and international organizations in Ghana. He is largely into the production of cereals and legumes.
BINTU ABUKARU
Gender Officer
Gender Advocate
She holds a Middle School Leaving Certificate and ten years of experience in agro processing of cereals and legumes to add value. She is been a gender advocate for the past twenty. She is equipped with Gender issues at the community level.
Mr Victor Yakubu
(Projects Cordinator)
MPhil Post-Harvest Technology
He holds an MPhil in Post-Harvest Technology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor in Agriculture Education from the University College of Education in Ghana. As an agriculturalist, he is experienced in food security and post-harvest issues. He is also experienced in community development issues as a result of his long services in the NGO sector .
KODIMAH SIITA
Finance Officer
MBA Finance and Degree in Accounting
He Holds an MBA Finance, Degree in Accounting and a member of the Ghana Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has ten years’ experience financial management.
MOHAMMED SEIDU
Field Officer
Diploma in Basic Education
He holds a Diploma in Basic Education from the University College of Education in Ghana. He has five years’ experience in Community Development.
